Product vision
Memphonics is a multi-front set of language-learning tools bundled into one app for people who want to learn languages built on what is directly relevant to their lives, need, and current ability.
We are building toward a product powered by Claude that transforms what a learner wants to say, or struggles to understand, or needs to know, into immediate natural expressions, with tailored explanations to their users exact needs and personalized practice.
In the planned integration, a learner provides a something they want to say, or a passage they cannot understand, or a practice response, along with a set of specific optional their relevant context. Claude transforms their needs into natural phrasing, explains difficult points and give targeted feedback, while our program Memphonics turns that output into specially tailored lessons and study cards into an effortless, optimal learning format, all connected to completely accurate audio and our spaced review study system.
Claude’s intended role is inside the learning experience itself, removing the friction that prevented learners from investing their time into learning a new language, because most effective learning methods involve hours of building your own foreign language decks to study, finding definitions, audio, explanations, what content fits your current level, what to be reading, and more. This provides learners with a complete, effortless method that avoids all the tedium and wasted time of creating and searching for your own tools and materials. All of this is either a planned Claude API integration within Memphonics or functioning within internal testing in Memphonics.
Today, the app offers personalized sentence cards, a tool that transforms your desired thought into a learnable phrase in your target language with accurate, human-like audio, and spaced review. A reading client is functioning within internal testing and is not yet publicly available. It allows users to tap words and instantly get the information they need without having to go to a third part (and turn those words into lessons of their own). We have also prototyped tools designed to match content and lessons to a learner’s level and specific needs. Claude integration is functioning within internal testing and is not yet publicly available, with further integration planned.
Our broader roadmap connects writing, reading, listening, speaking, fluency and writing systems, with future conversational practice using Claude and practice opportunities between learners.
Our goal is the most effective learning platform through perfectly matched material, personalized focused feedback and scientifically optimal practice, all where the user has no need of technical language learning knowledge. methodology, or has to waste their time making tools.
